What is Somatic Breathwork?
Somatic Breathwork is a powerful practice that uses conscious breathing, music, and deep self-inquiry to unlock your body's natural healing capacity. This is an eyes-closed, lying-down experience designed to help you drop beneath the thinking mind and into the wisdom of your body.
Your Soma is your body. In our culture of constant doing, we've forgotten the profound wisdom held within our physical form. Soma+IQ™ Somatic Breathwork is a self-inquiry modality that reconnects the power of our mind back to the innate wisdom of the body, offering an experiential and transformational approach to growth and healing. This is a sacred practice of coming home to yourself.
Somatic breathwork is designed to help you ex-press—literally to press out—the accumulated pressures stored in your soma. Through conscious breathing techniques, I guide you into states where the nervous system can unwind, stuck energy can move, and suppressed aspects of yourself can emerge into loving awareness.

What to Expect Across Your 3 Sessions
Session 1 — Meet Your Breath We begin by introducing your body to conscious, intentional breathing. This session is about safety, awareness, and beginning to notice what lives in your body. Many clients are surprised by what even one session reveals.
Session 2 — Deepen the Connection With one session under your belt, your nervous system begins to trust the process. Session 2 goes deeper — building on what emerged in Session 1 and inviting your body to release more of what it has been holding.
Session 3 — Begin to Integrate By Session 3, you are no longer a stranger to your own breath. This session supports integration — helping you make sense of what has come up, what has shifted, and what is possible from here.

I am new to this work so I was very interested and not sure what to expect. I found myself feeling where my stress was being held in the pit of my stomach or solar plexus as Ashley pointed out. During the breath work session this loosened and released. I felt very relaxed finding the soothing music pleasant to listen to and very therapeutic. I was finally able to pinpoint where my emotions were being held in my body which will be a signal I can watch for in the future .
I found myself thinking of situations that had brought me shame and releasing that shame slowly with each breath. Ashley’s guidance at the beginning was very important , so I focused on really embracing my new life I am intending and following through on my goals I have set.
I experienced a gentle light headiness and tingling in my right arm which I had been told was normal. I found this an excellent way to experience and really release some emotions that were bothersome. I also was able to feel and trust the universes signs that I have been getting and sometimes ignoring!

Before working with Ashley, I was carrying so much stress from this particular season of life.
